Meghan Cross
(She/Her) MA, LCT-C
Hi, I’m Meghan. I’m a counsellor, trained journalist, and community builder. You could say I’ve made a living asking questions, but the truth is, I genuinely love hearing people’s stories.
For a long time, I navigated my own stories—including childhood cancer and later, infertility—quietly and largely in my own head. When I finally opened up, I was moved by the number of people who felt safe enough to share their own parallel experiences with me. I realized that I wanted to provide the genuine, hard-won understanding I wish I’d found when I needed someone to talk to. Driven by a desire to provide the empathetic, trauma-informed guidance I once searched for, I transitioned from a decade-long career in government communications to dedicate my work to the field of mental health.
I now hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate* with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. My background in journalism, government communications, and community development taught me how to spotlight stories that need attention; now, I help clients reclaim and take ownership of the stories they live.
Say More gives space to the experiences we’re often taught to keep quiet—identity shifts the weight of grief and loneliness, changes in your support system, and the complex tension between mind and body. It is a place dedicated to honouring what has gone unseen, unheard, or unspoken.
Our work together is supportive, grounded, and entirely collaborative. Every session is adapted to your needs: if you want journaling prompts and skills practice to work on between sessions, you got it. If you’d rather use the hour to talk things through, we’ll do that. How we work is shaped by what feels most helpful for you.
I have particular experience supporting youth (16+), immigrants, and adults navigating life transitions, with a special interest in fertility counselling. My commitment is to help you move toward a life defined by clarity, inner confidence, and a renewed sense of peace.
What does "Candidate" mean here? It means I hold a Master’s degree and am fully qualified to practice. I am currently in the final stage of my licensing process with the CCTNB, which involves a period of professional consultation to ensure the highest standard of care.
I’ve always been the person people come to when things get heavy. Even as a kid, I remember friends telling me they felt better after we talked. Being able to provide that kind of relief has always been the best feeling in the world."
